ASTRO - Signal Solution
I just going to make it quick and simple this time :-)
For those who lost signal reception on your ASTRO decoder while raining, follow this quick steps;
1. Go to "Menu DSR/Satellite Signal" and press Select
2. When you are on the above page, Press 3 6 9 on your remote’s key pad.
3. You will see “LO Frequency”. Change it to “Manual” using navigation button on your remote. Also, your frequency should be “10.000 GHz”
4. Save it and you’ll be able to watch your favorite program even there’s a rain outside.

Windows 7 - Uplifting your computing experience
Well, i already boot exclusively on Windows 7! and i was really impressed. Thanks to Microsoft for releasing this great OS which i believe many has been waiting for. A new edge on computing experience. Yes, it might be look “alike” Windows Vista, but it is far better. If you are looking for a nice looking and fast operating system, this is it, Windows 7.
What I'm using is Windows 7 Ultimate, the version of Windows 7 which contain all the features and option - in other word - full spec!. If money not a problem, i would recommend you guys to have Windows 7 Ultimate, especially for those who doing high level of computing.
What makes Windows 7 the best ?
I’m not going into deep on what are the features that packed inside Windows 7, because its a lot!, but I'm going to highlight some new experience that Microsoft include which make your computing more easier and enjoyable. Yes i really enjoy this.
Installation
I can say, Windows 7 is a piece of cake to install. The most easy OS to install, it’s like installing all other application your Windows. I just take about half and hour to complete my installation. Microsoft did a lot of improvement on this. If you have been installing Windows before, i bet you’ll agree with me after put on Windows 7 on your machine.
The other best part is the drivers. You don’t have to worry about drivers. No more headache to find the drivers and version that fit your device with your OS. As soon as your installation complete, all your devices work like a charm. Thumbs up to Microsoft on this.
Anti-virus and Security
Virus is a nightmare to Windows user. As soon as my windows go live, the first thing i will do is installing my Norton Antivirus. But this time i failed to install NAV 2003 neither NAV Vista version on Windows 7.
Well, you don’t have to be fret anymore for virus. Don’t event think to get Norton or any other brand. Microsoft already taking care of it and its all FREE. You just need to download Microsoft Security Essential and i would like to emphasis again, ITS FREE!!!.
I did put on my machine some “security venerable stuff” just to try out this MSE, and its really did his job well!!
Taskbar a.k.a Superbar.
I think you will love the new “taskbar” on Windows 7. Although its still named “Taskbar”, they just love it to call “Superbar” because of its new look and awesome features.
Superbar will help you manage your opened applications more easily with its Live Preview, Application progress, Pin - UnPin and many more. And also together with this Superbar, you get to know Aero-Peak, a significant features on Windows 7.
I’ll explain more on Superbar, Aero-Peak and many more great stuff on Window 7 on my next posting.
And for those who worried about version compatibility, we will look on how to resolve that by using Windows XP Mode. Until then, Happy Computing!!!

Internet Explorer 7 (and above )with multiple session
Why is this happen? Well, the answer is; Internet explorer shares the same SESSION even though you had open a new window. Yes, it have pro and cons but that is not what we are looking at here. What we want is how to enable you to use Internet Explorer and still be able to use multiple login to your sites/account.
There are two ways of doing it;
i. From current viewing window
- On the Internet Explorer toolbar, click on File > New Session
- Then you'll get a new open Internet Explorer browser with totally fresh new session.
Easy isn't it :-)? But you have to do it every time you need to use dedicated session on opened Internet Explorer browser.
ii. From the shortcut
- Right click on any of your Internet Explorer shortcut, and select Properties.

- On the Target field, add -nomerge at the end of the existing command. Refer to picture below to get a clear picture where to add.
- To save your settings, just click button OK. Even though you just set for one shortcut, that changes will be apply to all the Internet Explorer shortcut
I prefer the second method since i use a lot of multiple login on my web application development. You might just need first method, but i hope above info will be helpfull for you in the explained situation.
